The Pew Research study is rubbish. It is heavily skewed towards the collective West. Out of 24 countries surveyed, 16 of them are USA and USA-aligned nations, all of whom have been anti-China for years, thanks to Western propaganda. So what is Pew telling us that we didn't already know?

There are 195 countries in the world. The collective West represent a small portion of them. How about surveying at least half of the 100 countries in Africa, Middle East, Latin America, and Southeast Asia (known collectively as the Global South) for a more balanced perspective? Instead, Pew surveyed a measly 8 countries.

Richard, I agree with you wholeheartedly about needing to survey more broadly. BRICS is meeting this week to try and expand its reach. The countries that are in it and want to be in it have different viewpoints. This being said, the views of the collective West remain important in today's context because they still represent a great deal of economic, political, and military might.

Quite a lot going on and we all must be concerned that both Russia and China have senior ministers and Generals disappearing or meeting a sudden end. Both countries have huge internal tensions and stresses and both have huge nuclear arsenals . Relations with the West are at an all time low with both these huge important countries which must be a concern. Beware of annoying the Dragon and the Bear at the same time !!
